Toy Sharing Chapel

Walker's school has a food sharing chapel the week before Thanksgiving and a toy sharing chapel around Christmas.

I asked Walker at dinner last night which toy he would like to take to toy sharing chapel, fearful that he wouldn't want to give up anything, and he quickly responded "I'm going to bring one of my cash registers with the food because I have two of them." It was so logical and sweet and made me so proud of him!

We talked about giving to people that don't have enough one day in the car when I made a drop-off at Goodwill. And he responded with "Oh yes, just like when we gave food at sharing chapel for the families that didn't have enough to eat." I was surprised at his understanding of the concept and how easily it was of him to give.

Hopefully he will always have such a generous sweet spirit.

List for Santa

Walker has been working on his list for Santa.

So far we have:

1. A yellow baby duck with a bottle so that his white baby duck from last year (the one thing he asked for from Santa) will have a friend
2. A tenant - which would be a camping tent. For some reason, it is always known as "tenant" to Walker. You repeat tent to him and he looks at you and says "yes, a tenant".
3. A real catching glove for baseball

I think Santa can handle that list. We'll see if it changes before the big day!
