"Mom, why isn't she getting plugged up?" - Why is Elle not latching on to breastfeed.

"Yes, Hoss is up in Heaven." I know mom I'm friends with him too. - Confusing Heaven and his 17 year old cousin, Kevin, whom he adores.

"Mama there are 2 Royces - Walker Royce and Hoss Royce. And 2 Adairs - Elle Adair and Mommy Adair". I guess grandpas and mamas don't have first names to a 3 year old!

"Mom it is still morningtime are you sure I have to go to bed" - it is still light outside due to daylight savings when he goes to bed

"Mama can I have this toy for being really good and following directions and being really sweet?" - I really need this toy and this tactic usually works with you mom!

"She's pretty cute mom. Can we keep her?" - talking about Elle the other morning

Walker is in love with his new baby sister. We often hear "She's pretty cute. She is so tiny." He is one happy big brother!

Walker's Haircut

I took Walker to get his haircut yesterday. He was not too excited about it - for some reason he very much dislikes having his haircut. We met a friend and her two boys and amazingly Walker was wonderful for his haircut! It might have been watching his friend having a hard time with his haircut that made him want to be "bigger".

Afterwards, we went to Toys R Us with our friends to get a treat for being such a big boy. We came home with a jackhammer - yes, I think we could start a construction company with all of the power tools he has in the house!

He kept talking about his haircut and how his mommy was so proud of him and how his friends mommy was "appointed" in him (disappointed) for not behaving and couldn't wait to show Adam his new haircut.

He is definitely into being "big" these days and we talked all about having Elle at the hospital and how I would have to stay with her. I told him when she arrived that he would get to wear his big brother shirt to school that day and he looked at me and said "Mama I think I am going to wear that big brother shirt EVERYDAY!" He is such a sweetheart and I can't wait to see him with Elle!

Elle's Nursery

Adam was out of town for 3 days last week and my mom came to stay with Walker and I just in case Elle made an early appearance. She is still cooking as of now but grammy helped me finish her nursery while she was here. Now we just need that sweet baby girl to arrive to complete her adorable nursery!

We are getting ready for...

We are down to the last few weeks before our sweet precious baby girl arrives. Walker is so excited to meet his baby sister. He asks daily when she is coming and why it takes so long for her in my belly. Every time we are in the store and he spots something pink he quickly responds "Oh, mama we should get this for Elle. She loves pink. She would really like this...usually it is something babyish but he even says it about pink dental floss, towels, etc." He is going to be the best big brother. We were at PB Kids the other day shopping and he was testing out an animal rocker and thought that Elle would like the one next to his and he said "Maybe I can get that lamb rocker for Baby Elle. And maybe she can get this horse rocker for me!"

My sweet sisters threw me a baby shower for Elle yesterday. It was absolutely adorable. There was pink and frilly stuff everywhere and Elle will definitely be dressed adorably thanks to all my sweet friends and family. My two younger sisters, Georgia and Cathy, were already picking out her "outfits" during the shower. They all involved pink, ruffles, tutus and ballet slippers!

My due date has changed around somewhat with dates ranging from Jan. 31st to Feb. 6th so we'll see when she makes her appearance. I just hope she is here before Valentine's Day! Walker was induced 8 days late so we'll see if she follows his schedule.
